MRI is one of the most useful procedures available to physicians. It enables the physician to make an accurate diagnosis and assist them in selecting the appropriate treatment. MRI exams in the past tended to be noisy and required the patient to enter a six-foot tunnel-like enclosure that was often physically and sometimes emotionally uncomfortable. The "New Open MRI" produces great images, but provides for a sense of freedom and removes any feelings of confinement. It is so quiet it will allow the patient to listen to their favorite CD with no distractions. The Open MRI used at our facility is an Hitachi Airis II, which provides the clearest and highest quality images of any Open MRI, and is the leader in Open MRI.
