Schmitt Plumbing and Heating's history began in 1967 when Richard and Alice Schmitt purchased the business from Bill Witzleb. The next year they built and moved to their current location.

Experience runs deep in the Schmitt family, Richard has 51 years in the plumbing and heating business, while son Mark holds 22 years. Alice took care of the books until 2000, now daughter-in-law Debbie has fill her shoes. Three other skillful journeymen round out the team.

Whether it be new or repair work this company offers a wide variety of services - installation (water heaters, faucets, toilets, etc.), rod out drains (sink, floor or main lines), televise sewer lines, and heating work (boiler or radiant). They work on livestock waters, hydrants, submersible pumps, jet pumps, septic and drain fields. Schmitt Plumbing and Heating is also licensed to test and repair Backflow Preventer systems. New this year is a Kubota mini-excavator which allows them to get into tighter spaces.
