Quad City International Airport

In the early 1920's, a 200-acre field in the Rock River Valley near Moline won a place on the map of the U.S. Postal airmail delivery service. In 1927, Charles Lindbergh and his plane the Spirit of St. Louis, drew thousands to the airport field and subsequent parade route. Major airline terminals were opened in 1954, 1985, and the current terminal was completed in 2001. Over the years, the airport property has grown to 2,600 acres.

The Quad City Airport exists to serve the traveling public on the six major airlines currently operating out of the QCIA. The airlines available, and the cities they serve are as follows: ATA Airlines to Chicago Midway, AirTran to Atlanta and Saturday non-stop service to Orlando, American Eagle to Chicago O'Hare, Delta Connection to Cincinnati, Northwest Airlink to Minneapolis/St. Paul and Detroit, and United Express to Chicago O'Hare and Denver. With a newer $17 million terminal, traveler conveniences are a plus.

Ample parking, full service restaurant, gift shop, rental car services, visitor information center, business center, chair massage and shoe shine are among the services you will find available. With two "low cost" airlines offering low fares and frequent airfare sales, prices are often very competitive--but more importantly, hassle-free as compared to traveling from larger city airports. In 2003, 400,000 passengers flew out of the QCIA which is an all-time record. We hope you call your local travel agent and check fares from the QCIA (airport code: MLI) and see why 400,000 people chose the Quad City International Airport, as their airport of choice.
