Hospice of the Rock River Valley
Hospice of the Rock River Valley has been providing expert and compassionate quality care to our communities since 1982 as a result of a merger that combined the resources of Sauk Valley Hospice and Whiteside County Hospice.
Hospice focuses on the quality of life by keeping the patient comfortable in his own home, nursing home, or assisted living center by helping the patient and family regain a sense of control and competence, promoting their dignity, autonomy, right to privacy, and enhancing the quality of the remainder of their time together. The Hospice Team includes: Hospice nurse, social worker, chaplain, well-train volunteers, certified nursing assistants, the Hospice Medical Director, and your physician.
Hospice offers a Bereavement Support Group for families and also hosts a children' s bereavement camp each summer for children ages 7-17. There is no charge from Hospice of the Rock River Valley for our services.
