CGH Medical Center opened the Sleep Center in 1996 to offer area individuals the chance to utilize the services of a sleep disorder facility without having to travel to Rockford, the Quad Cities or Chicago.

The CGH Sleep Center specializes in treating patients with sleep disorders like sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolespy and periodic limb movement syndrome. All of these disorders disrupt the normal sleep cycle. The resulting lack of sleep over an extended period of time can lead to other serious health problems. We offer patients treatment that can help them sleep normally and lead healthy, more productive lifestyles.

The Sleep Center recently earned full accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), becoming one of the limited number of accredited sleep centers in the United States and the only such center in our immediate area.

Hours: Sleep Studies are generally performed at night (during the day for shift workers). Initial consultations with physicians take place during regular office hours.
